Rita Watson

I was diagnosed with AS 2 years ago at age 64 after 9 years of active searching. That part of my story is not new to anyone here I imagine. Except some are surprised at my advanced age at diagnosis. I believe I had warning signs throughout my life that I ignored because of my ignorance of the disease. I did see a rheumatologist 25 years ago because my primary care thought I had RA but nothing came of it. I’m HLA-B27 positive and the only person I know with AS.
Except online. Best wishes to you all!
Dear Rita,
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
Sincerely Cookie
