As your younger sister I used to follow you around and looked to you for guidance, you were my best friend and a mother figure. After a moped accident you had years ago seems to be when the pain started. Through the years you tried to see doctors but nothing seemed to help and you were busy living life as a mom, I don’t think you realized there was something seriously wrong until recently. The last few years the pain in your shoulders and neck seemed to be a constant way of life for you. Hardly anyone you knew was aware of the pain and suffering that you endured on a daily basis because you hardly ever complain. It is of great sadness that I can’t do anything to help you. I wish I could be there for you as you always have been there for me. I just want you to know how proud I am of you and continue to admire your strength. Being finally diagnosed and learning that you have AS has not stopped you from continuing to be the best mother, friend and sister one could ever hope to have. Thank you for showing me what a true pillar of strength is, I will continue to pray for you and hope that cure is found. Love, Amy Jo
