Don Thomas
I am 68 years old and retired a few months ago. I’ve had A.S. for almost 35 years. I am almost fully fused except L3-4 where I still have some movement. Fell twice, broke back twice. Could have been paralyzed but thankfully wasn’t. Second time meant 12-inch rods and screws to save him from paralysis. Actually having as prevented him from moving in a way that would have paralyzed him but was also the reason it wasn’t detected on X-rays for 17 days. I now have neuropathy and other ailments including breathing issues. But I continue on and live my life to its fullest.
Dear Don,
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
Sincerely Cookie
