A.S. Face 1732: Faith Richardson
I was diagnosed With AS in 2005, although I have had the pain much longer. I have been receiving remicade for approximately 8 years and continue to work full time providing Occupational Therapy in a nursing home. Some days are harder than others and some of my patients move better and faster than me. My employer works with me arranging my schedule so I can make all my doctor appointments.
I am also blessed with a partner that understands and looks out for me ( usually better than I do myself). She is my biggest supporter and cheerleader.
My mom was also diagnosed with AS, but when she changed rheumys they took her diagnosis away.
I have other health issues besides the AS, but I am still blessed as I can still work and enjoy my family.
I live by the beliefs that everything happens for a reason, ( it makes me a better therapist as I can relate to my patients), and there is always someone worse off than me.
My name is Faith Richardson, I am 57 years old, and live in Texas.
Texas, United States of America
