A.S. Face 1690: Emily Sharp

Hello my name is Emily Sharp. I just found about  9 months ago I have A.S. all by accident. I had a cat scan to look for a hernia. That all came back normal, my family practice doctor called me and said they saw something on my cat scan and I needed a MRI a.s.a.p. so got the scan done and blood work. Doctor told me my lower back and hips looked like I was in my 80s even the doctor the read the MRI put it in the notes too. My blood work came back as lupus as well. Me  as doctor doesn’t think I have lupus. So I have to be tested once a year to make sure. I take 7 different medications. I have done  Humira didn’t work still had flare ups. I’m now on Enbrel. I have fallen 20 plus times it’s, not fun to explain to my 6 and 3 year old why I have fallen. My oldest son is special needs so he never quite understands. I’m fighting this disease one day at a time.
