However as right now I’m trying to survive without any pain. Pain sometime on and off. If possible, I would like to get know more people and make friends specially in my field.

  1. Dear Kolbe,
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
    Sincerely Cookie

  2. Hey! My fiancé has been diagnosed with AS as well and I had questions and stuff about it. Please email anytime at kayleepannell14@icloud.com. Thank you.

  3. I strongly recommend taking something for the inflammation even if you’re able to minimize the pain without drugs. The constant inflammation is what causes your spine to fuse, it’s not just about pain control. I’ve been taking NSAIDS daily for the past 21 years and I have very little fusion in my SI joints and the rest of my spine is perfect with ser fusion. If I hadn’t been taking something for the inflammation I’d be completely fused up by now just like my mother is who also has AS.

I’m now taking the COSENTYX biologic along with Volteren NSAID as needed. I have great flexibility and range of motion and I know it’s due to taking these drugs, stretching daily and focusing on my posture at all times.
