A.S. Face 1063: Julie Schleier

Face 10631063 1063-a

I have just been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondilitis.  I have a lot of stiffness in the mornings, pain if I sit too long, pain if I stand too long.  I cannot sleep very well at all.  I have started doing stretches in the morning when I wake up and walking as much as I can, this helps a lot.  I really don’t notice any difference with what I eat.  i really don’t know what to expect from having this disease, but will try my hardest to deal with it.

  2. i am wondering and maybe some of you could help me with this…..I am 59 I’ve had very mild symptons, just thought I was uncoordinated, getting old etc until I fell and broke my L-1 vertebrae in Feb of this year. I got that repaired, my lower back, buttocks, tail bone area was so painful I couldn’t sleep or function very well. My dr. finally ordered another MRI and saw the fusion in my sacrum area. He sent me to have the blood test, I tested positive and am waiting to get in to a rheumatologist. What i am wondering is did the fall make this worst? I’ve always been active and tried to eat right. Thanks ahead of time……..Julie face1063
