A.S. Face 0984: Cassie Pugh

Face 984

My name is Cassie Pugh, I’m from Cullman, AL and I have suffered with AS since the age of 9 when I had the first flare up in my neck that left me bed ridden for a week. I spent the next 15 years fighting for some kind of answer or diagnosis. I was finally diagnosed with AS after experiencing severe pain in my SI joints following the birth of my son. I wish I could say the doctors helped me, but I found relief through my own research on diet changes and natural herbs/vitamins.

  2. Cassie – thanks for sharing your story!

My AS flared after my son was born as well… and that was after a 5 year remission.

  3. Hi cassie. I lived a pretty much normal life although flare ups few and fare between until the birth my daughter. Took me 12years in total before they knew what it was. For 3 and half years been on pain meds. I’d be intrested in what you changed your diet to and the herbal readies you use?? As dont want to live on painkillers anymore. Please could you add me on Facebook Katrina Louise pidden so we could chat. Many thank

  4. Thanks for your story Cassie! My AS symptoms started around age 7 in my knee. I’m curious to know what diet/supplements you take. I tried several diets to no avail. And I currently take more supplements than I can even list. They help minimally but so far I haven’t responded to much as far as natural or traditional treatments go.
