A.S. Face 0930: Sandie Murray
My photo. Currently 61 years of age.
Dx at age 30 after painfully suffering symptoms for years before that.
All body parts/organs have been affected at one time or another. Fusion in neck, lower back and finger. Have a high tolerance to pain, conditioned to be so after all these years.
I adopted my three nieces, each with special needs, at the time of dx. I was a single parent at the time of a pre-teen. All three girls are affected by mental illness. The youngest one, severely. She gave birth to a child March 2012. I nursed her thru the pregnancy and helped deliver the baby girl. We were given custody immediately.
All of my children are successful in life and happy.
So you see, AS and it’s pain is my way of life but not my life. Each day I seek attitude of gratitude. I have much to be grateful for.
Thank you for what you do.
Sandie Murray
“I think I saw her yesterday. She was surrounded by the wind, little pink rosebuds and a talk drink of water and there were hearts everywhere.”
