A.S. Face 0655: Ann
Hello! My name is Ann and I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis aged 37 after the birth of my son. I was symptom-free before childbirth then I experienced an aggressive onset in the first year of my son’s life. I had a fit lifestyle as a sports therapist and snowboard instructor in the past and I couldn’t understand why I was so ill and in constant pain after having a baby. It took about a year to get diagnosed after I changed GP and I fought against comments that my problems were just ‘post-natal’.
I am on a continual search for information about this condition and ways to manage it effectively.
Love and Victories to you all!

Dear Anne, thanks for sharing. my symtoms were onset by my childs birth as well. I had intense pain, especially in my hips – I was told for years I had post partum depression and that was why I was in pain. Took 8 years from when the pain started to get the AS diagnosis. Best of luck!!!
