A.S. Face 0072: Louise Peedell

I was diagnosed only 2 years ago, I had suffered with a bad back since 2000. I always thought it because of my slipped disc which I had operated on. Knowing what I know now about AS it make sense I’ve had pretty much all the symptoms.

When I found out that I got AS I cried for days I kept reading the worse possibilities thinking it was the end of the world. With the help of my parent, my partner, dr Coffey (my gp) and my physio they made me realise I can do anything if I put my mind to it and slow it down slightly.

With that I do what I want most of the time, of course I have my moments when the flare ups happen and I know when to rest. I work full time and not had a day of sick yet! And they are really good especially my boss shes lovely.

I’m grateful for my tablets my god I would never cope with out them and I’m grateful for my family, partner and friends especially my new friends who have AS. What happens in the future will happen I’m living for today and I carry on with my life with a positive attitude, well most of the time 😉
