A.S. Face 0663: Melissa

I have AS, buging discs on nerve roots and RSD after a traumatic Total Knee Replacement. I am thankful for family and friends that understand that chronic pain is invisible, not noticeable……and knowing I am always happy , but not healthy.

The reason I keep reading FACES, is because the best of the human spirit is visible here. Courage, optimism, perceverance, hope. And yes, spirits that are crushed are also visible. The spirit is seperate from the body. The only hope for the spirit that is down…is to be built up by the spirit that is up. Knowing that you aren’t alone, knowing that others are dealing with this too, and most of all, knowing that only together can we lift each other up…that I think is what FACES is all about. Thanks for lifting me up Mellissa.
